I met with my friend Luis F Martínez Valencia that I share the same laboratory in the University of Florida. It has been 9 years since we've last met and it was a great reunion in Jacksonville.

In my son's kindergarten we made a presentation about Turkey and April 23rd Children's Day. First, the kids watched the movie that we prepared for them and then enjoyed the taste of Turkish baklava and delight. It was a cool day...

We spent the weekend with our friends Perihan-Jimmy Brown and their daughter Yasmin @Jacksonville Jazz Festival which took place on May 26-29th.

During our time in the US, we participated in the Littlewood Elementary School's morning mile activity as volunteers. Every morning, just before the lessons start, the kids participating the activity ran about 15 minutes per day.

My son Tunç is 6 years old now. Although he made us worried just before his birthday, we still had good time in his birthday...
